Morgan Brumfield, 16, a Boy Scout with Troop 203 at Unity Christian School, has earned his Eagle badge.

Each candidate must earn 21 merit badges and successfully complete a service project to earn his Eagle.

Brumfield chose to design and build a youth play set for Spring Creek Baptist Church.

Brumfield has served as senior patrol leader, assistant senior patrol leader, patrol leader, assistant patrol leader, chaplain aide and scribe.

The awards that he has received are Arrow of Light, World Conservation Award, Presidential Volunteer Service Award, National Outdoor Award for Hiking and Camping and he completed the BSA Mile Swim twice. Some other highlights of Morgan’s scouting experiences were attending Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico and Florida Sea Base.

Morgan is a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church and is active in youth praise band, church choir and drama team. He also plays football at Unity Christian School, where he is a junior.

Morgan is the son of Alex and Stephanie Brumfield.
