Allegro Dance Company’s farewell concert takes place Saturday at the Rome City Auditorium and is sponsored by Rome Area Council for the Arts.
“This is our final concert,” said founder and director Georgie Reigel who has moved to Michigan to further her dance career.
Reigel said she started the company to provide Rome with the opportunity to see Modern dance. The members are all local students ranging in age from 10 to adult.
The concert will feature new work created by Reigel as well as five other guest artists from Rome, Atlanta and Italy.
The concert takes place Saturday at the Rome City Auditorium starting at 8 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for students. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
