ATLANTA (AP) — An Atlanta middle school is warning parents after reports that a man tried to lure students away as they were playing in the back of the school.

WSB Radio reports that administrators at the Atlanta Neighborhood Charter School sent letters home to parents alerting them to the potential threat.

Witnesses said the man tried to get them to hop over a fence at the school and go with him. Officials say students alerted a staff member, who scared the man off.

Police are now searching for a suspect described as a white male, with short dark hair, who was driving a white Chevy Malibu.
