Author William Austin signs new book at Dogwood Books and Antiques

According to author William Austin, few teams in Georgia high school football can document their history as far back as the Cedartown Bulldogs. Born and raised in Cedartown, Austin brings to readers “The Cedartown High School Bulldogs: The History of a Georgia Football Tradition.”

The book recounts the history of a proud football program and covers the careers of coaches such as Doc Ayers and John Hill, highlighting the star players and crucial games of in the team’s history.

From the first game in 1900 all the way to the 2001 state championship game, Austin delves in the team’s storied history.
