Model High School drum majors Lindsey Adams and Branden Tello lead the 2012 Blue Devil marching band in more than just synchronization at halftime.

They have the duty of being examples of responsibility, leadership and camaraderie for the rest of the nearly 60-member band, directed by Tim Burton.

Senior Tello is no stranger to these responsibilities, since this is his third year with the title.

“One of my responsibilities is to pull the band together as a team and help motivate them. I try to take some of the stress off Mr. Burton,” said Tello about what his commitment involves.
