Temple, who is the drum major for the Pepperell band, considered getting out of the music scene — or at least the school-affiliated aspect of it — roughly five years ago.
But he ultimately elected to stay with it, and he’s sure glad he did.
“Our middle school program wasn't very strong,” said Temple, “and I got really bored with it. I was on the edge of quitting.”
