Berry hosts author Jacqueline Osherow

Award-winning poet Jacqueline Osherow will read at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 6) at Berry College’s McAllister Hall.

Osherow has published six books of poetry including: “Looking for Angels in New York,”

“Conversations with Survivors,” “With a Moon in Transit,” “Dead Mens Praise,” “The Hoopoes Crown” and “Whitethorn.”

She has been awarded grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the John Simon Guggenheim Foundation, the Ingram Merrill Foundation and the Witter Bynner Prize from the American Academy and Institute of Arts and Letters. She has also received a number of prizes from the Poetry Society of America.

A question and answer session and book sale will follow the reading.

This event is free and open to the public.
