Friday:

The Broad Street Block Party takes place from 7-10 p.m. in the 300 and 400 block of Broad Street. A stage will be set up on Fourth Avenue near Jefferson’s and bands Daddy Irv and Babe’s Bayou will be playing. A kid’s area with inflatables will be located in the 400 block near El Zarape. Free parking is available in the parking decks on Fourth Avenue and Sixth Avenue.

Saturday:

Whiskey Tasting to benefit Rome-Floyd E.C.O. Center. “American Spirits Comparative Tasting takes place at 5 p.m. at the E.C.O. Center facility in Ridge Ferry Park. Patrons will learn about different American whiskeys and their unique subtleties from a certified specialist of spirits. Tickets are $50 per person and include a beef tenderloin dinner and cigars. Tickets available at Rome-Floyd Visitor Center.

Tenth Annual Cowboy Festival and Symposium at Booth Western Art Museum in Cartersville. Includes art, music, cooking, poetry, demonstrations of beading, flint knapping. Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for senior adults, $7 for students, $3 for children under 12.

Sunday:

The AIDS Resource Council’s annual chili party fundraiser takes place Sunday at 6 p.m. at 511 East 11th St. There will be live music, several types of chili, salads, dessert and beverages. A $20 donation is suggested.

Fall Foliage Tours take place Sunday and will help area residents discover the beauty of fall colors on the Oostanaula and Coosa Rivers by boat on the 45-passenger excursion boat, Roman Holiday. Tickets are $5. Tours depart from the dock located at Heritage Park. The tour will launch at 1:30 p.m.
