ATLANTA (AP) — Chipper Jones says he isn't nervous at all for what might be his final game.

The Atlanta Braves third baseman rode to Turner Field on Friday with his mother, father and two of his sons. Along the way, he turned to his parents and said, "I'm ready to go. I'm not even nervous." Jones took that as a sign that his decision to retire was the right one, though he'd like to keep the season going as long as possible.

The Braves are facing the defending World Series champion St. Louis Cardinals in a wild-card playoff. The winner advances to the division series against Washington.

Jones also took a shot at baseball's expanded playoffs. Joking around, he says every team should get a chance to play in a single-elimination tournament.
