Deadline to donate to Ball drive is Friday

The deadline to donate to the Rome News-Tribune-sponsored “Make a Child Smile” ball drive is Friday.

The cause benefits children who are members of the Boys & Girls Club. For some members, this is the only toy they get each Christmas.

Donors are encouraged to bring new baseballs, basketballs, footballs and others to the various donating locations, including: Rome News-Tribune, 305 E. Sixth Ave.; Chick-fil-A Dwarf House, 264 Shorter Ave.; West Rome IGA, 610 Shorter Ave.; and Owens Hardware, 116 E. Second Ave.
