Representatives of schools, governments and industry across the state are expected to attend a two-day college and career event on Nov. 15-16 hosted by Lt. Governor Casey Cagle, Floyd County Schools, Floyd County College and Career Academy, and Georgia Northwestern Technical College.

The theme is "Business and education partnerships: success in action".

The summit will begin opening session with Georgia School Superintendent John Barge as the keynote speaker Nov. 15 with the topic of "The Challenge and importance of career pathway development and work based learning students-the role Industry needs to play" and a roundtable discussion with the topic of "Georgia’s Talent Pipeline – Are Jobs out of People?".
