Little River Canyon National Preserve Park Ranger Larry Beane will present Fossils of Little River Canyon on Saturday October 13, 2012. The program begins at 10 a.m. at the Little River Canyon Center on Highway 35 . The free Ranger led program will include a tabletop exhibit of fossils from in and near Little River Canyon.

The program will last one hour. Beane said, “People do not realize that fossils are here. Fossils, like all of our resources are protected by law. You can look at them, but cannot damage them or take them.”

Fossils from the park range from sea creatures to land plants.Information on geology will also be discussed.
