GHC Basketball: No. 10 GHC still perfect

The No. 10-ranked Georgia Highlands Lady Chargers improved to 9-0 on the season Wednesday with an 89-54 win against Atlanta Metro College.

Manon Cheribini scored 21 points to lead the Lady Chargers, Shakierya McClendon added 20 points, and Gabriel Kendall scored 15. Former Rome High player Vannessa Calhoun scored four points and grabbed 14 rebounds.

The Lady Chargers next host Middle Georgia Tech on Saturday at 2 p.m.

ATLANTA METRO MEN 71,

GHC 57

The GHC men dropped a road game, 71-57, to Atlanta Metro.

The Chargers trailed by only five at the half, 38-33, but could not hold off the Trailblazers.

The Chargers were led by Matt Catanzano’s 19 points and and Rashaun Dumas’ 11 points.

The Chargers return to action on Saturday home against Middle Georgia Tech at 4 p.m.
