WOODBINE, Ga. (AP) — Police say a 15-year-old girl has been charged in the death of a man who was wanted for questioning in a murder.

Authorities say 21-year-old Christian Murphy — who was wanted for questioning in the death and dismemberment of 41-year-old Michelle Renee Chappell — was a passenger in a car the unidentified girl was driving Sunday night.

Police followed the car along Interstate 95 from Florida to Georgia and she eventually lost control and crashed near Woodbine — about 50 miles north of Jacksonville, Fla. Murphy died in the crash and The Florida Times-Union reports authorities have charged the girl with homicide by vehicle, fleeing and attempting to elude police and receiving stolen property.

The girl is being held in the Regional Youth Detention Center in Waycross.
