A Floyd County woman sustained a minor injury Sunday when a car allegedly ran the red light at the intersection of Shorter Avenue and Horseleg Creek Road, reports stated.

According to Rome police reports:

Ermine R. Johnson, 80, of Covington was driving a 1999 red Ford Escort and struck a Rome woman’s Volkswagen Beetle after running a red light.

Johnson was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.

The other woman complained her arm was hurting but refused medical treatment.
