OUR PRESIDENT has for the third time delayed moving the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, which was mandated in the Jerusalem Embassy Act by an overwhelming majority of both houses of Congress and the will of the American people.

The fact that Israel has the only capital in the world that America refuses to recognize not only impugns our national integrity but telegraphs a suspicion that somehow the Jewish state is illegitimate. In fact, the two perceptions of America that emerge with every delay is that we are weak and indecisive and that it looks as if we’re betraying the one true ally that we can always count on in that part of the world.

Is this any way to treat a proven friend, Mr. President? Israel is treated like a pestilence that disrupts the region’s tranquility and burdens the West with its stubborn insistence on survival. Mr. Obama’s recent treatment of Prime Minster Netanyahu was not only rude, but dismissive and offensive to Mr. Netanyahu.

What does all of this portend for the future? Nothing good for Israel, particularly when the buzz words from this administration are no, stop, don’t, concede, wait and give. There is an apparent diplomatic paralysis in our government in dealing with Iran’s mania to destroy Israel, as well as the United States. In addition, Mr. Obama’s unrealistic, false appraisal of the anti-Israel. anti-America “Arab Spring” that masquerades as a push for democracy is suicidal. Can anyone believe that the recent rampage against our embassies in 27 locations and the murder of our Libyan ambassador and three Americans is not the result of the inept foreign policy of Mr. Obama?

How many times do terrorists have to tell us that their ultimate goal is our total destruction? We must start taking the threats against Israel and the United States seriously.

Strength, solidarity, moral integrity and determination are the only options our enemies will understand. This misguided, confused, weak and ineffective foreign policy of the president must be reset. America is still the last hope for freedom as we have known it and we must not let loyalty to a political party overrule our allegiance to our country. Citizens must take a stand and take back our leadership in the world. Time is running out for our nation and our future.
