SHORTER UNIVERSITY is the home base for 12 young ladies who blessed us by singing praises to our Lord in a time of worship recently at Floyd Springs Baptist Church.

The group “Proclamation” is made up of students from a wide variety of backgrounds and majors, but who profess faith in one God, the Lord Jesus Christ. This group of Shorter students could have spent Sunday evening partying, watching a football game or “hanging out”, but they chose to share the gospel through blending their voices in praise. It was evident from the quality of their performance that they had spent a good deal of time in practice and preparation.

As some of these students shared their testimony, we were reminded of the value of this fine Christian university in our community molding students for lives of service and meeting their need for spiritual growth.

When we pray for Shorter University under the leadership of Dr. Dowless, we will remember that this institution is made up of individuals who also need our prayers.

Thank you, “Proclamation” for bringing us in to His presence.

Lady you really need to read this article. You have been fooled. Dowless is nothing more than a mouthpiece for those that condemn others that don't think (fortunately) along the same lines they do. I am a Christian, but what Dowless and crew are doing is the furthest thing from Christianity. Don't believe what your preacher tells you Get the facts. http://www.insidehighered.com/news/2012/11/14/cultural-change-tears-georgia-baptist-college-apart#ixzz2CD4IDnsf
