Performed solidly in Atlanta for five to six nights per week for five years, beginning as a solo act, ultimately working with a band (3.5 years with same band). Nominated for female vocalist of the year by Atlanta Society of Entertainers. Took a break from performing to raise a family and concentrate on painting. Began writing and performing after moving to NW GA in 2004 (inspiring location!). Has played festivals, house concerts, listening rooms and coffeehouses to enthusiastic audiences. New CD available early 2009. Currently available for select bookings.
Description
Singer/songwriter writing in a style that draws on various forms of American music - folk, blues, rock and country. My performances are designed to draw people in with compelling lyrics, musical dynamics and the promise of a good time. Songs range from deeply serious themes, such as addiction, to pure good-time, let's-have-some-fun tunes. My songs reflect my view of life, which goes something like this: "Yes, there is trouble in the world and we should recognize that so we can change things where we can, but let's not get all down and blue. We can use music to lift our spirits and keep us focused on and attracting good things, too."
