James and Alice Osborn of Rome, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married in Haralson on February 10, 1962 at the home of Pastor Rufus Brown, who performed their wedding.

The couple met at Cedar Valley Drive In in 1960.

Mr. Osborn works at Rome Electric Motors. Mrs. Osborn retired from the Board of Education in 1999.

They have two sons, Jimbo and Timmy Osborn of Rome. Their grandchildren are Garon, Alicia, Hayden and Kenzie Osborn.

The most memorable times in their marriage is having fun with their children and grandchildren. They enjoy traveling, camping, fishing, attending their children’s ballgames and gathering at their home with friends and family.

An anniversary celebration was given by their niece, Betty McBurnett at the Palladium in Rome.
