The National Parkinson Foundation’s Moving Day Walk for Parkinson’s will take place Saturday at State Mutual Stadium.

Registration will begin at 9 a.m., and the walk will start at 11 a.m. Children are invited to come dressed in their Halloween costumes for the walk.

Various movement programs and exercise demonstrations that benefit people with Parkinson’s disease will be presented  by local YMCA instructors beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the Harbin Clinic Movement Pavilion. Funds raised from the Moving Day Walk for Parkinson’s will stay in the community to fund programs such as support groups, wellness/exercise programs and educational programs.

Organizers hope to raise $50,000 and, by Wednesday afternoon, were 42 percent of the way there, with $21,043.55 already accounted for. Teams have been raising money, and totals will be revealed at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

Activities will continue until 1 p.m.
