Police: Man sold stolen trailer from Ohio

A Rome man was in jail without bond Wednesday night after he was accused of bringing a stolen trailer from Ohio and selling it, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the reports:

Randy Edwards, 46, of 1 Fire Tower Road, was charged with felony counts of theft by receiving stolen property in another state, theft by bringing stolen property into this state and theft by deception following the transit and sale of a Haulmark enclosed dual axle trailer.

Edwards allegedly transported the stolen trailer from Loraine, Ohio, to Georgia between Aug. 23 and Sept. 5 and retained it here for the purpose of disposing it by selling it to another party.
