Fonseca said that she is excited about moving into half of the building behind the Red Lobster on Shorter Avenue. The building was damaged by storms that rolled through Rome and December of 2011 and completed renovated by Howard Alexander of Howard Realty.
“I’ve been doing hair for about 12 years,” Fonseca said. “We are going to offer both manicures and pedicures and hope to have a massage therapist.”
The reconfigured building allows separate space for shampoo and washes, which will feature high-tech electronic vibrating relaxation chairs. “We’re getting uptown,” Fonseca said.
She will have space for three stylists in addition to herself.
Basic hours for the Red Door Salon and Spa will be 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and by appointment on Saturday.
The building shares space with Travel Leaders of Rome.
