A Magnolia Avenue resident said was robbed early Mon-day morning by two masked gunmen who attacked him while he was sleeping, according to a Rome police report.

According to the report:

The man said near midnight Sunday night he was awakened by two masked men who demanded money and then put a coat over his head and beat him with his pistol.

The men allegedly told the man to give him his money or they would shoot him in the head.

The man told the robbers his money was in the bank. The robbers took a flat screen television set, valued at $600 and his personal “smoke bag,” the man told police.

The man shot at the robbers as they ran out the door.

One of the robbers was described as short and the other was tall. The one that hit the man was wearing what appeared to be a red bandana on his face.

He knew them. No doubt, he knows who this is and I think this is ridiculous that he reported it as a robbery!
