The seventh annual Surviving to Share contest is under way, and organizers are asking breast cancer survivors to tell their stories.

Sponsored by Redmond Regional Medical Center, the contest consists of survivors submitting a story of their fight with breast cancer or of the extra attention a caregiver gave them.

The deadline to enter is Oct. 4, and entry forms are available at Redmond Regional, WRGA, Cancer Navigators, Pansy’s Boutique and at www.redmondregional.com.

One breast cancer survivor and one caregiver will be selected as winners. Entry forms include the needed information for survivor stories and caregiver nominations.

Winners will be announced at a banquet at Coosa Country Club on Oct. 23 that will honor all participants.

Participants are also asked to submit a candid photo of themselves and their families. The caregiver story winner and the breast cancer survivor winner will each receive a gift package from the Rome community. Survivors should only enter one story either for themselves or their caregiver.
