This marked the third year of the olympic distance triathlon, staged in downtown Rome, and fourth year of the youth triathlon at Darlington School. A record number of racers, including 30 physically challenged participants, went the distance swimming, biking and running, to raise money to help the Boys & Girls Clubs continue to provide hope and opportunity to hundreds of local children every day.
“We are very grateful to RACE Rome, the participants, and all of the great sponsors that supported this event,” said J.R. Davis, Executive Director. “The Tri for the Kids Olympic & Youth triathlons not only represent
a commitment to supporting this organization, but also help inspire our youth and families to live a healthy lifestyle.”
