I have just read a wonderful article on Web MD on the topic of “super foods.” These foods that I am about to tell you about help prevent multiple diseases. These foods fill you up so that you can enjoy live without excess calories. These foods also are easy to include in everyday meals.

Low-fat or fat free plain Yogurt: Yogurt is higher in calcium that other dairy products and contains protein and potassium;

Eggs: Full of nutrients, versatile, economical and a great way to pack in the protein. Limit eggs to three or four times a week;

Nuts: They are loaded with heart-healthy fats, high fiber, and antioxidants. Portion control is important.

Kiwis: Full of antioxidants, vitamin C, potassium, fiber, and rich in vitamin A and E; and

Beans: High in insoluble fiber as well as soluble fiber, a good low-fat source of protein, carbohydrates, magnesium and potassium.

The other five “super foods” will come in the next article.

I am glad that I am on your side about finding a healthy lifestyle and a good eating plan. Watch for more “super foods.”
