Woman struck by pickup truck, killed in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ga. (AP) — A woman in Columbus was killed when she was struck by a pickup truck.

Deputy Muscogee County Coroner Charles Newton said Loretta Williams was pronounced dead Saturday morning at a hospital.

The Columbus Ledger-Enquirer reports that Williams was hit while walking along a local road. An autopsy was scheduled for Monday.
