Layla Shipman, who is the chairperson for all of Rome’s future tea parties, said the party is planned for 11 a.m. and will run from 45 minutes to an hour — much shorter than the three-hour event held April 15.
“This tea party is being thrown to celebrate the founding of America and to honor and maintain the principles the country was founded upon,” she said.
The Rome Tea Party Organization has not confirmed a location for the July 4 celebration. The April party was held at Opi’s Waterfront Grill downtown.
