The interim president of Georgia Highlands College is likely to be named on Friday said John Millsaps, spokesman for the University System’s central office.

"We are expecting to announce something soon, perhaps as early as Friday," Millsaps said in an email.

Willis Potts, a member and past chair of the Board of Regents also said he expects the name of GHC's interim president to come out tomorrow.

However, There seems to be some question at this point as to when the announcement will actually come, said Dana Davis, director of college relations.

Current GHC President Randy Pierce announced his retirement recently after 40 years with the University of Georgia system.
