Glenda and Jimmy Selman
Jimmy and Glenda met while attending Armuchee High School. The couple were married on June 22, 1952 by Rev. Brown Smith at his home.
Mrs. Selman is the former Glenda Barton of Everett Springs. She retired from Sun Trust Bank in 1989 and enjoys traveling.
Mr. Selman grew up in Texas Valley. He was a long-time dairy farmer and retired form Floyd County Board of Education Maintenance Department in 2003. He enjoys gardening and tending his mules.
Mr. and Mrs. Selman are the parents of Joan Selman Jarrett of Summerville and Steve Selman of Rome. They have five grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Selman are active longtime members of Armuchee Baptist Church.
