Bill and Virginia were married in 1962 at the Orange Methodist Church near Dallas, Penn. The couple made the Savannah area their home for over 30 years. In 2007 they moved to Kingston to be closer to their grandchildren. Bill served in the U.S. Army and worked for Price Waterhouse and Savannah Foods (Dixie Crystals) before his retirement.
Virginia taught at Memorial Day School, worked at the Center for Latino Outreach at Georgia Southern University and taught English as a second language at the Literacy Volunteers of the Lowcountry in Hilton Head, S.C.
They are lifelong Methodists and are active members of Rome First United Methodist Church.
They have two daughters, Laurie S. Brooks (Bobby) and Sandy S. Berry (Bob) and are the proud grandparents four grandchildren.
The Steinhauers will celebrate their special day with an upcoming family trip.
