Diane and Steve Miller of Rome announce the engagement of their daughter, Alison Marie Miller of Rome, to Christopher Jonathan Benson of Kennesaw, son of Carole Law of Mableton and late Earl Benson Jr.

The bride-elect attended Rome High School and is a 2004 graduate of Belmont Abbey College in N.C. with a degree in Educational Studies. She is employed with Floyd County Department of Family and Children Services in Rome.

She is the granddaughter of the late Jessie and Frank Minosh and the late Betty and John Miller Jr.

Benson attended Campbell High School in Smyrna and is a 2011 graduate of Kennesaw State University with a degree in Information Systems. He is emplyed with Orasi Software, Inc. in Kennesaw.

He is the brother of of Earl Benson III of Kennesaw and Jessica Benson of Atlanta. He is the grandson of Beatrice Warr of Luverne, Ala., Wanda LaDuke of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., the late Billy Warr, the late Glen Laduke, the late Betty Benson and the late Dr. Early Benson Sr.

The wedding is scheduled for Oct. 6, 2012 at Belle Terra in Rome with a reception to follow. Formal invitations have been sent.
