Tabitha Brooke Lester and Clinton Lewis Helms were married at 4 p.m. on August 3, 2012 in Negril, Jamaica.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Eugene Proctor Jr. of Rome, the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hullon Hensley and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Proctor, both of Rome. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Harold Helms of Rockmart, the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lindsey and Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Helms, both of Rockmart.

Lloyd Frances of Negril, Jamaica performed the double ring ceremony on the white sands in front of the Caribbean Sea. White tulle draped the arbor on the beach and lined the

aisles on each side. The ceremony featured a program of traditional Jamaican wedding music.

The bride, escorted by her father, wore a gown of candlelight satin. The sweetheart strapless bodice was fitted to the waist with draping gathers down the left side flowing slightly into the chapel length train. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of purple dendrobium orchids.

The groom wore candlelight linen pants and a lavender button down shirt with a matching boutonniere of purple dendrobium orchids. Following the ceremony, a reception was held for those in attendance with refreshments including Jamaican Fruit Cake with white fondant icing and adorned with purple dendrobium orchids.

After their return, a reception was held at the Palladium in Rome on Aug. 25. Refreshments there included a three-tier replica of the original wedding cake.

Pre-nuptial parties included a miscellaneous shower hosted by Oak Hill Church of Christ, a miscellaneous shower hosted by Donna Elrod, Tina Morgan, Trish Motes, Fay Williams, Missy Forsyth, Diane Clayton, Claudene Miller, Charlene Wilson, Andrea Sorrells, Amanda Gravett, Maurene Moss, Anna Helms, Pat Hamilton, and gift card shower hosted by co-workers of the bride at United Community Bank.

The couple resides in Rome.
