Karen Law of Rome announces the engagement of her daughter, Melissa Kay Law, to Kip Hamilton Warren, son of James “Hamp” Warren of Cartersville and Tina Evans of Cartersville.

Miss Law is a 2004 graduate of Model High School and a 2009 graduate of The University of West Georgia with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing. She is currently employed with Coosa Valley Federal Credit Union.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Buren Burns and the late Emmett Law.

Warren is a 2003 graduate of Cartersville High School and a 2012 graduate of Georgia Northwestern Technical College with an associate degree in Fire Science. He plans to pursue his bachelor’s degree in 2013. He is currently employed with Bartow County as a firefighter and by GNTC as an adjunct instructor.

The groom-elect is the grandson of George and Pat Warren of Rome, as well as Jerry and Alane Payne of Rydal and the late Patsy Davis.

The wedding ceremony is planned for Sept. 15, 2012 at the Covered Bridge in Euharlee. Invitations have been sent.
