Rachel Dawn Tucker and Kevin Daniel Hall were married at sunrise, on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012 in a private family ceremony at Frost Chapel on the Berry College campus in Rome.

The bride is the daughter of Elissa Jacks and David Tucker. She is the granddaughter of Larry and JoAnn Jacks of Rome and Max and Gaynell Tucker of Rome.

The groom is the son of David and Donna Hall of McDonough. He is the grandson of Herman and Glenda Henderson of McDonough and the late Eugene Ruby Hall.

The Rev. Mikel garrett performed the double-ring ceremony and the Rev. Max tucker led the payer before an altar decorated with two five-branch wrought-iron candelabras holding lighted candles. Three separate crystal candlesticks held the couple’s unity candle. The altar was decorated with ferns and greenery. Each pew was marked by white ribbon bows.

The processional, “Love Song,” was played by guitarist Michael Tucker, brother of the bride and violinist Timothy Reynolds. “You and Me” was played by Michael Tucker and Timothy Ringer. “This Kind of Love” was performed by pianist Mandi Snow, guitarist Michael Tucker and vocalist Brandon Snow.

Lynde Worle of Clhoun was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Kendall Davis of Rome, Katie Robertson of Rome, Lindsey Shirey of Rome, Abby Blackmon of Rome and Any Hall of Locust Grove.

Clara Lyn Kerce of Rome was the junior bridesmaid. They wore tea-length dresses of black keana that featured a ballet neckline and pleats across the bodice, complete with black satin sashes. The bridesmaids carried miniature replicas of the bride’s bouquet, containing white roses, carnations and tiger lilies finished with antique brooches on the white satin-wrapped stems.

Briley Nichols of Rome was the flower girl and was pulled in the bride’s refurbished childhood wagon by Chase Asmler, junor grooman. Hadyen and Bryan Hall of Locust Grove were the ring bearers. The flower girl wore a black and white cotton dress and bloomers and the ring bearers wore black cotton shorts and white shirts.

Keith hall, brother of the groom, as the best man. Groomsmen included Abdull Haynes of Villa Rica, David Mwamba of Lilburn, Jerel Matthews of Decatur, Jesse Mitchell of Conyers, Josh Hale of McDonough and Adam Hall of Fayetteville.

Honorary groomsan and bridesmaid, Danny Lin and Catherine Mondoy, joined the ceremony, via Skype, from Tokyo, Japan.

The bride, given in marriage by her parents, and escorted by her father, wore a white silk organza gown featuring a sweetheart neckline and A-line skirt with pearl and rhinestone embellishments. The gown had bachelor buttons and a chapel-length train. It was completed by a cathedral veil with embellishments of a similar nature as that of the dress’ train. She carried a bouquet of white, long-stem roses and carnations, wrapped in white satin fabric and adorned by antique brooches from each woman in both the bride’s and groom’s families.

The mother of the bride wore a knit, tea-length black dress featuring a V-shaped neckline. The mother of the groom wore a black tea-length taffeta dress featuring a scooped neckline. Each carried a single long-stem white rose.

The recept was held immediately following the ceremony in the chapel’s courtyard.

Parties were given in the bride’s and groom’s honor on the eve of the wedding by Katie and Vickie Robertson of Rome and Keith Hall of Locust Grove.

Other parties included a morning brunch hosted by Linda Crumley, Maxine Self, Brig Kerce and Sharon Fincher. A miscellaneous shower was hosted by the faculty and staff of McHenry Elementary and a miscellaneous shower was hosted by Dykes Creek Baptist Church.

After a wedding trip to Tokyo, Japan, the couple will reside in Rome.
