Rome woman charged with theft, DUI charges

Floyd County police have charged a Rome woman with theft and DUI after her arrested at Lee Street and Lynn Avenue on Thursday evening.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Vera Sue Foster, 53, of 9-B Lee St., is accused of taking jewelry valued at more than $3,600 on Thursday.

She is charged with felony theft by taking, misdemeanor leaving the scene of an accident and misdemeanor driving on an expired license and misdemeanor DUI.

The reports did not give details on the traffic charges.
