The Floyd Healthcare Foundation is hosting the second Three Rivers Run on Saturday, October 13, at 8:30 a.m. The race will begin at Floyd Corporate Support Center at 420 E. Second Ave., and will wind through downtown Rome and along the Kingfisher Trail, a walking and biking path.

Runners and walkers can register online through www.active.com or at www.floydfoundationevents.com.

The early registration fee for the 5K race is $20 and $15 for the Health Walk is $15.

All participants will receive a T-shirt specially designed for the race, and awards will be given to the top three finishers in each age category.

The race is part of a series of Floyd breast health awareness events planned for September and October. October also is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
