Man charged with aggravated assault

A Plainville man remained in jail Friday night after he allegedly beat, choked and threatened to kill a woman, according to a Floyd County Jail report.

According to the report:

Joshua Franklin Price, 32, of 2954 Riverbend Road, allegedly hit the victim several times in her face causing significant swelling and bruising to her left eye which was swollen shut from the incident that happened on Tuesday. The victim also had extensive bruising to her hands and scratches and cuts to her face.

The report stated Price choked the victim and told her he was going to kill her. The victim told police she feared for her life.

Price was charged with a felony count of aggravated assault. He was being held without bond.
