A Silver Creek woman is accused of resisting arrest and having marijuana on her person when she arrived at the Floyd County Jail, according to jail reports.

According to the report:

Mary Jane Sharea Bannister, 42, of 965 Old Rockmart Road, allegedly concealed two Red Bull energy drinks and a pack of markers at Walmart on Redmond Circle on Saturday and attempted to exit without paying.

After resisting arrest, Bannister was taken into custody, and suspected marijuana was found in her purse when she arrived at the jail.

She was charged with felony possessing illegal drugs across a guard line as well as misdemeanor counts of theft by shoplifting, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, willful obstruction of a law enforcement officer and probation violation.

Bannister remained in jail Saturday night without bond.
