A Rome man told police on Monday afternoon that he gave his cellmate’s girlfriend his property while he was in jail so she could pay his rent but when he got out of jail he discovered she had stolen from him, according to a Rome police report.

According to the report:

The man said the woman, who he did not know, had his debit card, EBT card, watch, three cell phones and $50 in food.

Jail officials have identified the woman that signed for the man’s property but no arrests have been made.
