Warrant: Woman struggled with police, attempted to grab officer’s badge

A Floyd County woman is charged with a felony following an incident involving police officers and EMS personnel on Clements Road During the last week of September.

According to Floyd County jail records:

Brenda Lee Helbert, 50, 18A Clements Road, was allegedly belligerent toward officers and emergency paramedics during an incident at her address on September 26.

Helbert allegedly tried to grab a county police officers badge, attempted to strong arm a paramedic and then refused to comply with direct orders from the officer on the scene.

The warrant claims that she became so aggressive and combative that the office had to use a Taser to subdue the woman.

Helbert was charged with felony obstruction of an officer for resisting arrest.

Helbert is being held in the Floyd County jail pending bonds that total $5,700
