Report: Man tried to pay probation fee with counterfeit bill

A Rome man was in jail Tuesday night after he allegedly tried to pay his probation fees with a fake $20 bill, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the report:

James Douglas Reynolds Jr., 33, of 6 Trentwood Place, was charged with felony first-degree forgery after he attempted to pass the counterfeit bill at Supervision Services Inc., 101 E. Fourth St., last Friday.

He remained in jail without bond and was also charged with probation violation
