The John Wisdom Wagon Train & Trail Ride will leave from the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds on Saturday at 8:30 a.m.
The train of horses and wagons will travel to Shannon. Tickets are $10 and available at entry and lunch is available at the Old Model School in Shannon for an additional fee. Coggins papers must be shown in order to participate.
The wagon train will gather at the fairgrounds tonight and on Saturday will travel to Shannon and back.
Saturday’s celebration concludes with a cowboy dance featuring Backwater Band at 7:30 p.m. at the Mather Payne Hall of the fairgrounds. Admission to the dance is $5. Camping is permitted at the fairgrounds tonight and Saturday nights and is included in the cost of the Saturday trail ride admission.

Where Romans Rest: Myrtle Hill Cemetery Tours allow visitors to learn more about the permanent residents of the cemetery.
Tours depart at 10 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 11 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and noon from Veterans Plaza at the front of the cemetery.
Haunted on Broad: Haunted History & Ghost Lore brings visitors throughout downtown to discover the history and lore of ghosts as told by the Seven Hills Tellers.
Tours begin at 7:30 p.m., 8 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. and leave from the parking lot of Heritage Hall off Glenn Milner Boulevard.
Admission to either tour is $8 for adults and $5 for children younger than 12.
Both tours are a moderate to strenuous walk with steep steps and slopes involved. Stories are not intended for young children.
