More than $30,000 of copper taken from business

Police responded to a burglary Monday morning, Oct. 22, at a local business where a large amount of copper wiring was taken, according to Rome police reports.

According to the report:

A store manager arrived at the business at 90 3 Rivers Drive to discover the lock had been cut off of the back gate and someone had folded up the metal siding near the back door to gain entry to the building.

Copper wiring valued at more than $30,000 was reported missing. No surveillance videos of the incident were available and no suspects were named.
