Man accused of possession of meth near school

Floyd County police arrested a man Monday, Oct. 22, after they said he was found in possession of drugs near McHenry Primary School, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the report:

Jason Myles Ingram, 32, of 65 N. Harrison St., Rome, was stopped by officers on McHenry Drive on Monday afternoon and had a glass pipe containing suspected methamphetamine residue in a black cigarette pack.

Ingram stated that the pipe was his and was charged with felony counts of possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school and misdemeanor possession of drug related objects.

He remained in jail Monday night without bond for the two felony charges and $1,300 bond for the misdemeanor.
