investors interested in learning more about the private equity investment process are welcome to attend as well.
This program includes a comparison of requirements for bank financing and investor capital as well as an overview of the basic essentials of an investment package. Once participants have decided if equity funding is the proper match, they will learn the importance of the strength and expertise of the visionary and the management team, why a consensus of the group on both business issues and human considerations is required (who stays, who goes, and who is needed), and what to expect in ownership dilution and valuation. Investors with the Northwest Georgia Regional Angel Investors Network will also share comments on the basics.
The class will be held on Thursday, November 8th at 5:30 p.m. at the Georgia Power Auditorium, 800 Broad Street, Rome, Georgia 30161. This is a free, informational program co-sponsored by the Greater Rome Chamber of Commerce, the Northwest Georgia Regional Angel Investors Network and the Small Business Development Center. Pre-register at www.georgiasbdc.org/ce/rome. Contact Lowell Pratt at 706-291-7663 for more information.
