Police arrested a Rome man Wednesday afternoon after he was discovered hiding in a Pinecrest Drive house, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the report:

Zachary Glenn Harper, 23, of 4 Lake Park Drive, was charged with burglary after he entered a residence without permission and went into the bedroom where he hid behind a door.

When confronted later, Harper said he had entered the house to use the bathroom. He allegedly gained entry through a back door that was unlocked.

Harper remained in jail Wednesday night without bond.
