Approximately 1,800 people dressed in pink joined together on the Adairsville Middle School football field Friday to form the word FAITH.

"There was a sea of pink," said teacher Christy Ridley.

Cancer survivors were invited to join in the FAITH as well as to walk around the track for a survivor lap.

Organizers said this was the biggest PINK OUT yet the school has had yet.

"We had the most survivors we have ever had come out today. Our chorus sang an inspirational song by Avril Lavigne called 'Hold On.' It was an amazing day, a day we like to call 'food for the soul,'" said Ridley.
