Kingston man charged with possession of marijuana

A Kingston man was arrested Saturday at the intersection of Wayside Road and Benjamin Street after being found with marijuana and drug-related objects, according to a Floyd County Jail report.

According to the report:

James Scotty Vinson, 22, of 241 Prater Road, was stopped by police for an equipment violation on his truck, and he was arrested for having a suspended license and controlled substances. A metal smoking pipe was found in his front pocket, and two burned marijuana cigarettes were discovered underneath the driver seat. After being booked into jail, a burned marijuana cigarette was found inside rolling papers in his possession.

He was charged with felony drugs across the guard line, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, driving with a suspended license and drug-related objects.
