Police: Woman tried to pass of fake prescription

A Cedartown woman was in jail Wednesday night after she allegedly tried to fill a fake prescription, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According the report:

Barbara Annette Carter, 53, of 1035 Youngs Farm Road, was charged with felony first-degree forgery after she was found in possession of an altered prescription.

She attempted to have the prescription filled at the pharmacy inside Kmart at 102 Hicks Drive.

She remained in jail Wednesday night without bond.
